Full Depth Patching:
Full Depth Patching consists of jack hammering and saw cutting
or machine milling to a specified depth. We dispose of the
excavated material and re-compact the underlying area to 95%.
After compaction but prior to the placing of asphalt, the vertical
edges of the existing pavement will receive a tack coat of
liquid asphalt binder. Asphalt is installed in two lifts of
no less than 1.5 inches and no greater than 4 inches in compacted
thickness, per lift. Total thickness of asphalt patch will
be indicated on the bid proposal. The surface, when completed
will be smooth, bonded, and of a uniform texture and appearance.
The finished edges will be tack coated with liquid asphalt
and sanded, to prevent tracking.
Overlay Existing Surface:
When overlaying existing asphalt all areas will be swept clean
and a tack coat will be applied to bond the new asphalt to
the existing surface. All low areas will be leveled with asphalt
prior to the installation of the new surface. The new surface
mix asphalt will be installed at a specified depth, per the
bid proposal, and compacted to achieve a smooth and uniform
surface.
Milling:
We can handle any size milling job. We can mill from one inch
to one foot of asphalt and aggregate base making removal much
quicker, cleaner and cost effective. Cold Planing (also known
as rotomilling) is the process of the controlled removal of an
existing surface of an asphalt or concrete street or parking
lot. This process allows the owner to keep the existing profile
of the project while restoring it to its original usability.
The recycling of the milled material is economically and environmentally
very beneficial to all involved in the process.
Edge Milling:
Edge milling consists of milling all edges of existing asphalt
adjacent to the gutter pan or any metal structure for a smooth
tie-in. The milling consists of a 48” width and is
completed with a rotary-drum milling machine.
Seal Coating
Asphalt seal coats are factory-blended compounds of emulsified
asphalt binder and selected mineral and fiber fillers. Seal coats
are intended to protect pavement from the effects of weather
erosion and oxidation, fill minor voids, improve the surface
texture and provide a smooth, non-abrasive surface. Recommended
for use on all types of asphalt pavements, seal coat provides
a uniformly colored watertight seal. Seal coat is applied in
two coats unless otherwise noted. We prefer the finished seal
coat not be subjected to heavy traffic earlier than 12 to 24
hours after having been laid.
Crack Sealing
The constant exposure to the sun and water is pavements greatest
enemy. Oxidation from the sun causes shrinkage and separation
of the asphalt surface resulting in cracks. Left untreated the
damage will penetrate the pavements subsurface and soften it.
In no time, new cracks and potholes will appear. Your first defense
against pavement deterioration is Crack Sealing. This is done
to prevent the deterioration of the sub-base by water and debris.
The thorough cleaning of affected areas and the application of
crack sealant will prevent further erosion of the surface and
damage to the structural support of the pavement. The material
used is designed to expand and shrink allowing for year round
performance. Without prompt attention, areas around the pavement
will also begin to fail as a result of increased oxidation. The
main crack will not only get larger, but additional cracking
will also appear. By sealing cracks early you can extend the
life of your pavement considerably and prevent more costly repairs.
Crack Sealing asphalt pavement joints and straight-line cracking
consists of cleaning debris and grass from the cracks and sealing
them with a hot applied rubberized crack sealer.
Striping
Customers appreciate a well designed and well marked parking
system. The parking lot is the first thing that customers or
visitors see. A freshly painted parking lot can lend an attractive
impression to the overall image of your property.
Pro-Pave, Inc. offers complete layout and line striping services
using the best striping equipment and quality paint available.
Resurfaced areas are marked with appropriate parking spaces,
directional arrows, fire lanes, handicapped stalls and any other
items currently
painted with traffic paint or
Thermoplastic Striping.
Fabric Membrane Installation
We are qualified installers of Mirapave Paving Fabrics, a product
installed prior to asphalt overlaying. This product retards reflection
cracking, reduces secondary cracking, improves pavement fatigue
life, and protects sub-grade from water intrusion. Fabric installation
enhances the longevity of any overlaying job. For more information
